The Rockstar of all treadmills

I have three little ones: 5, 3, and 1. There is no way to practically go out jogging. I have tried with the double stroller but it is akward to push it and sometimes I have my daughter with me. She likes to walk but if I were to attempt to jog, she can't keep up. Also, bless her, her legs are so much smaller (she's only 5) and half way around the block, she has had enough. So what is a mom committed to all areas of self improvement to do...shop for a treadmill. My parents had one for a long time and I would often go over to their house just to use it. Kind of like my home or "treadmill" away from home.
I know what I want in a treadmill. I want reliable, a guarantee, fancy speakers and I want to customize my workouts. I tend to start off slow and work my way up. I don't want to be pressured by the standards workout if I am unable to keep up. Also, I have bad knees. I also tend to have bad ankles and since my boys both weigh over thirty pounds, a bad back. Running, walking, or jogging on treadmills can be tough. Until I found this one here. I love, love, love this treadmill. Finally someone came out with the technology to actually make it gentle on those areas that typically prevent me from being able to have a good workout. More so than being in shape, a good fast paced walk or jog on a treadmill makes me feel fantastic. It really gets those endorphins up which helps me be able to think more clearly!
The best part, Dora the Explorer on TV and a "supervised" 20 minute walk for myself! Yay!

The No New Year's Resolution Solution!

It is "that time of year" again, isn't it? The time where we reflect on what went wrong, what we want for our future and how we resolve to get there. This year, I'm doing things a little bit different. I am not setting any New Year's Resolutions. There are enough of those floating around. This year, still in mid December, I'm setting goals for 2011.
Not only am I setting goals, I am setting a detailed plan for achieving those goals. Everything from income growth to personal health issues. Everything. If it is in the plan for the New Year, it is being planned now.
I'm confident that all this planning is going to pay off. In the past, the calendar would turn, it would say "January 1st" and I would lace up my running shoes to attempt to run a mile. I would clean my whole house and resolve to keep it that way. This has been the quickest past to failure on my part.
This year, I'm taking a whole new approach. I have already gotten started with correcting some health issues. I have often suffered with debilitating menstrual cramps. Since I started taking pharmaceutical grade nutrition supplements a few months ago, I can cross this issue off my list for 2011. You may want to check out my post here for more information on how I cured those awful cramps.
That is just one of the many goals I have for 2011. I am committed to 2011 being my best year ever!
